This is a 2019 Taylor 517e Builders Edition in mint condition. This guitar has spent most of its time in the case. The Builder's Edition 517e introduces a new sound and feel to the brand. Constructed with a torrefied Sitka spruce top and tropical mahogany back and sides, this round-shoulder dreadnought speaks with a rich and powerful low-end, full of harmonic complexity and luscious tonal character. The V-Class bracing, a Taylor innovation inspired by early bluegrass and old-time records, adds projection and sustain, intensifying punch and improving intonation for a sound that is warm, seasoned, and nicely blended.
